After the results of West Bengal Assembly elections, SP chief and Lok Sabha MP Akhilesh Yadav reached Bengal. He met Trinamool Congress supremo Mamata Banerjee on Thursday (May 7). Akhilesh Yadav said that Didi has always been troubling BJP. Akhilesh believes that even though the numbers may not have been in his favor this time, Mamata Banerjee has fought like a warrior. BJP MLA Dilip Ghosh took a dig at his statement.
What did Dilip Ghosh say?
On Akhilesh Yadav’s meeting with Mamata Banerjee, BJP MLA Dilip Ghosh said, “Didi (Mamata Banerjee) is in a state of confusion and people are coming and filling her mind with false hopes, she is not able to understand it.” She said that people are fanning her and she is not able to understand. He further said that when she (Mamata Banerjee) falls on the ground, it will hurt so much that it will not fade away for the rest of her life.”

Didi, you are not defeated – Akhilesh Yadav
Mamata Banerjee herself came to the gate to receive Akhilesh Yadav and her nephew Abhishek Banerjee welcomed Akhilesh by hugging him. During this meeting, Akhilesh Yadav honored Mamata Banerjee by covering her with a shawl and said that Didi, you are not defeated. Praising the courage of Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, Akhilesh said that the way you people fought the elections is really praiseworthy.
Akhilesh Yadav targeted Modi government
After meeting Mamata Banerjee in West Bengal, Akhilesh Yadav made a scathing attack on the Modi government and BJP at the Centre. Akhilesh Yadav raised serious questions on the results and election process of Bengal elections and called it dangerous for democracy. He taunted and said that BJP’s lies are like ‘Son Papdi’, where layers of lies are piled on top of one another.
Apart from this, Akhilesh Yadav also raised questions on the impartiality of the Election Commission. Regarding the violence and rigging during the assembly elections, the SP chief said that the Election Commission is not impartial and it is working in collaboration with BJP. Akhilesh Yadav even said that the Commission is dead.
