Pakistan Petrol Diesel Price: The US-Iran war is affecting not only India but also the neighboring country Pakistan. Just as the shortage of gas and oil is being seen in India, the same is being seen in Pakistan also. The condition of the neighboring country is so bad that the prices of petrol and diesel have increased again in just a week. According to reports, the government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel by about 15 Pakistani rupees per liter.
Increase in the price of petrol and diesel
In fact, according to the official notification issued by the Energy Ministry of Pakistan, the price of petrol has been increased from 399.86 Pakistani rupees to 414.78 rupees per liter. Whereas the price of High Speed Diesel (HSD) has increased from Rs 399.58 to Rs 414.58 per liter. This is just the second time in a week that petro-diesel prices are increasing in Pakistan.

Prices increased for the third consecutive time
According to local media reports, the Pakistan government has increased the prices of petrol and diesel for the third consecutive time. In the last two weeks, the government has increased the price of petrol by Rs 33.28 per liter and diesel by Rs 46.16 per liter. Apart from this, Shahbaz Sharif government has also increased the levy (tax) on petrol and diesel by Rs 13.91 per liter.
Let us tell you that this decision has been taken at a time when the International Monetary Fund (IMF) has assured to provide financial assistance of about 1.32 billion dollars to Pakistan which is facing economic crisis. IMF issued a statement on Friday, May 8, saying that Pakistan will get $1.1 billion under its Extended Fund Facility. Apart from this, assistance of about $220 million will also be provided under the Resilience and Sustainability Facility for projects related to climate and environment.
