Liam Dawson First-Class Cricket Retirement: England’s spin all-rounder Liam Dawson has suddenly announced his retirement between IPL 2026. Dawson decided to retire from first class cricket with immediate effect. 36 year old Dawson will continue to play white ball cricket. Dawson has not been seen in the IPL yet, but he plays for Sunrisers Eastern Cape in the T20 league match to be held in South Africa. While playing for Sunrisers in the tournament in the 2024-25 season, he took 14 wickets. Apart from this, 47 runs were scored in batting. He will continue to play for the franchise as he has just said goodbye to red ball cricket.
What did Dawson say about retirement?
Dawson told Hampshire’s website about his retirement, “I have not taken this decision lightly, but I feel that this is the right time to further my career in white ball cricket.”
