Punjab Kings (PBKS) fast bowler Arshdeep Singh has once again come into controversy. After a video of him with Mumbai Indians batsman Tilak Verma went viral on social media on Thursday, many reports have made different claims.

This video was allegedly shared by Arshdeep on ‘Snapchat’, in which the banter between the players was shown. In this video, left arm fast bowler Arshdeep is seen joking during an informal conversation with Tilak Verma. During the conversation, Arshdeep called Tilak ‘Andhere’, a Hindi word generally associated with darkness or darkness. Later he jokingly said that the batsman should apply sunscreen.

Mumbai Indians player Naman Dheer was also seen in this clip, whom Arshdeep described as the real ‘Noor’ of Punjab, which means ‘light’. When Naman explained the meaning of this word to Tilak, the batsman replied that he already uses sunscreen.

Although this conversation between the players was quite light-hearted, criticism started as soon as the video surfaced. Many social media users strongly criticized Arshdeep for his comments, as these comments had racist undertones.
