JEE Advanced 2026: JEE Advanced 2026, one of the toughest engineering entrance examinations in the country, will be conducted on Sunday, May 17. This time the examination is being conducted by the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee at examination centers across the country. It will be very important for the candidates going to appear in the examination to follow the rules related to admit card, dress code and exam center. JEE Advanced 2026 exam will be conducted in two shifts.

First paper will be from 9 o’clock

The first paper will be held from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon, while the second paper will be conducted from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. PWD category candidates will be given extra 1 hour time. The examination will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages ​​and students will also be able to change the language during the examination. The name of the candidate, roll number, photo, signature, address of the examination centre, reporting time and necessary instructions are given in the admit card. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website jeeadv.ac.in till 2:30 pm on May 17.

What is necessary to take to the examination centre?

Students going to appear for the exam have been advised to reach the center well in time, so that they do not face any problem in biometric testing and frisking. It will be mandatory to carry some important documents with you for entering the examination centre. Candidates will have to carry admit card, one original photograph, ID proof and two passport size photographs with them. Apart from this, permission has been given to carry pen, pencil and transparent water bottle.

Complete ban on carrying these things

No electronic gadgets or suspicious items will be allowed inside the examination centre. Devices like mobile phones, smart watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, microphones, health bands, calculators, electronic pens, pen drives and scanners will be completely banned. Apart from this, wallet, handbag, camera, goggles, written notice, printed paper, writing pad, geometry box, scale, eraser, pencil box and any kind of communication device will not be allowed in the examination hall.

Strict rules issued regarding dress code

IIT Roorkee has also issued instructions regarding dress code for the candidates. Students have been advised not to reach the examination center wearing any kind of jewelery or metal items. It has been asked to avoid things like rings, chains, bracelets, pendants, earrings, nose pins, badges and brooches. Apart from this, wearing clothes with big buttons is also prohibited. Candidates have been advised to wear open footwear like slippers or sandals. Wearing of amulets or charms of any kind will not be allowed inside the examination centre.
