Oil Crisis: Amidst the increasing tension in West Asia and global concern regarding oil supply, a relief news has emerged for India. Marshall Islands flagged tanker ‘Simi’ carrying about 20 thousand tonnes of LPG has safely reached Kandla Port in Kutch district of Gujarat. This tanker crossed the strategically important Strait of Hormuz and reached India on 13 May.

The Strait of Hormuz is considered one of the most important maritime trade routes in the world. It connects the Persian Gulf to international sea routes and is extremely important for global energy supply. At a time when the eyes of the whole world are focused on the tension in this region, this LPG tanker reaching India is considered very important.

Important conversation between India and Iran

Meanwhile, Iran’s Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi talked to India’s Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. During the conversation, Araghchi said that friendly countries should trust Iran for trade security. He wrote on social media platform X that there was a positive discussion on the regional situation with Indian Foreign Minister S Jaishankar. Iran will always continue to fulfill its historical responsibility of protecting the Strait of Hormuz. Iran is a reliable partner for all friendly countries and will ensure the security of trade activities.

Ships coming to India are getting security cover

According to sources, on May 13, the LPG tanker ‘MV Sunshine’ coming to India was also crossing the Strait of Hormuz and all possible assistance was being given to reach India safely. It was told that this was the 15th LPG ship to come to India safely from the Persian Gulf. Many agencies are working to bring the ship safely to India, including the Indian Navy.

Situation will improve once peace is established: Iran

Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Gharibabadi said that after peace is established in the region, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz will become better than before. He said that transparency and security will increase there and no steps will be taken outside international law. He also said that America is not involved in serious diplomacy, but if peace is established in the region, we will see more security and stability than before.

Iran will welcome India’s initiative

During talks in New Delhi before the meeting of foreign ministers of BRICS countries, Kazem Garibabadi said that Iran will welcome any initiative of India to reduce tension in West Asia. Describing India’s role as impartial, he said that India has always been in favor of peace. India and Iran are two countries whose cultural roots are very deep and similar. People-to-people relations between the two countries are also given great importance. Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister said that if India takes any diplomatic initiative to reduce regional tension, Tehran will welcome it.
