According to the report, at least 42 American fighter planes, Reaper drones and other military aircraft have been either completely destroyed or seriously damaged in the war.

The report says that after the Vietnam and Iraq wars, this is the first time that America has suffered the loss of such modern and expensive aircraft in a war. CRS has prepared these figures on the basis of US Defense Ministry, Central Command and intelligence reports.
Iran shot down 24 Reaper drones
According to the report, America’s most dangerous and modern ‘Reaper drone’ became an easy target for Iran in this war. It has been claimed that Iran has shot down 24 Reaper drones of America during the war.
F-15E and stealth fighter jet were also destroyed
The report says that the world’s most advanced fifth generation stealth fighter jet has also been damaged in this war. Apart from this, 4 F-15E Strike Eagle fighter jets of America have also been damaged.
Refueler aircraft and high-tech drones also on target
Iran also targeted 7 large refueler planes that deliver fuel to fighter planes in the air. Apart from this, 1 ground-attack aircraft, 1 E-3 Sentry AWACS, 2 special operations aircraft, 1 rescue helicopter and 1 high-tech spy drone MQ-4C Triton are also included in the list of losses.
War expenditure reached Rs 2.4 lakh crore
This war has also had a direct impact on the American treasury. On May 12, during the hearing of the ‘House Appropriations Subcommittee’ of the US Parliament, Pentagon’s Acting Controller Jules W. Hurst III said that the estimated expenditure of the ongoing military operations in Iran has increased to $ 29 billion i.e. about Rs 2.4 lakh crore. He said that this huge expenditure is being spent on repairing destroyed military equipment, fighter jets and drones and purchasing new equipment.
