A lot was at stake in the 67th match of IPL 2026. Sunrisers Hyderabad could have finished in the top-2 by registering a big win, but even after registering a win of 55 runs, they had to be content with third place. More than being a high-scoring match, this match came into limelight because of Virat Kohli and Travis Head. After all, why did Virat not shake hands with Travis Head after the match, due to which there was an uproar.
This whole controversy started when Virat Kohli celebrated aggressively when the wicket of Travis Head fell. The atmosphere became even more heated when Travis Head encouraged Virat to play attacking shots during Bengaluru’s innings. An altercation also took place between them.
Virat never backs down from challenges. So when Travis Head tried to provoke him, Virat replied by pointing out that instead of speaking, Head should try his luck bowling in front of him. Travis Head came to bowl, but by then Virat was out after scoring 15 runs in 11 balls. Travis Head also got success in bowling, as he took the wicket of RCB captain Rajat Patidar.

Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by 55 runs. After the match was over, players of both the teams came in a queue and shook hands with each other. Virat also shook hands with Pat Cummins, Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma, but did not shake hands with Travis Head. Its video also went viral on social media. Head had extended his hand towards Kohli, but the Indian batsman completely ignored him.
Royal Challengers Bangalore have entered Qualifier 1 even after losing by 55 runs. He will face Gujarat Titans in the first qualifier. Even after this win, Sunrisers Hyderabad remained at third position in the table. Now he will have to make his way to the finals through the eliminator.
