Probably very few people have heard the name of Rwanda, a small country located in East Africa. But in the world of cricket, the name of this country will be remembered for a historical record. In fact, Rwanda and Ivory Coast faced each other on Sunday in the qualifier tournament of the Men’s T20 World Cup. In this match, Rwanda’s Hamza Khan scored unbeaten 164 runs, which is the second highest individual score by a batsman in T20 International.

In the match against Ivory Coast, Hamza Khan played an inning of 164 runs in 65 balls. In this innings he hit 9 fours and 15 sixes. On the basis of this historic innings of Hamza, Rwanda scored 288 runs. This was also the seventh highest score made by any team in the history of international T20 cricket.

Highest individual score in T20I

164 runs scored by Hamza Khan is the second highest individual score in international T20 cricket. Now in this list, only Australia’s Aaron Finch is ahead of him, who played an inning of 172 runs against Zimbabwe in 2018. A day before this, he had played an unbeaten inning of 60 runs in the match against Cameroon.

Third biggest win in T20I

Batting first, Rwanda scored 288 runs. In response to this, the entire team of Ivory Coast was all out for 17 runs. Rwanda won by a huge margin of 271 runs, which is the third biggest win by any team in terms of runs in international cricket. For Rwanda, Mohammad Nadir took 6 wickets giving only 6 runs in 3.2 overs.
