Petrol-Diesel Price Hike: The price of petrol and diesel in the country has been increased again today. From 6 am on May 25, 2026, petrol in Delhi has become costlier by Rs 2 61 paise and has reached Rs 102 12 paise per litre. Whereas diesel has increased by Rs 2, 71 paise to Rs 95, 20 paise per liter.
The biggest thing is that this is considered to be the fourth increase in the prices of petrol and diesel in the last 10 days. On 15th May it was increased by about 3 rupees, then on 19th May by about 90 paise, on 23rd May again by about 90 paise and now on 25th May once again a big increase has been made. Overall, in the last 10 days, petrol has become costlier by Rs 7.35 paise and diesel by Rs 7.53 paise per liter.
How much did the price increase in Delhi?
With this increase in prices, diesel which was earlier Rs 92.49 per liter in Delhi, will now be sold at Rs 95.20 per liter from today. That means diesel has become costlier by Rs 2.71 per litre. Similarly, earlier the price of petrol was Rs 99.51 per liter, which has increased to Rs 102.12 per liter today on May 25.
In the capital, not only the prices of ordinary petrol and diesel, but also the prices of premium fuels have increased at the same pace. XP95 which was Rs 106.63 per liter became Rs 109.24 on May 25. The price of XG increased from Rs 97.81 to Rs 100.52 per liter.
Prices increased in Mumbai also
Today the price of petrol in Mumbai is Rs 111.21 per liter, which is slightly higher than yesterday’s rate of Rs 108.45. The lowest price of petrol here till date was Rs 103 per liter on May 6.
City wise new price of petrol and diesel
- In Noida, the price of diesel is Rs 95.56 per liter, petrol is Rs 102.12 per liter, XP95 is priced at Rs 110.68 per liter and XG is priced at Rs 101.17 per liter.
- In Bhopal, the price of diesel is Rs 99.64 per liter, petrol is Rs 114.57 per liter, XP95 is Rs 123.88 per liter and XG is priced at Rs 104.90 per liter.
- In Chandigarh, diesel price is Rs 89.47 per liter, petrol price is Rs 101.51 per liter and XG price is Rs 94.65 per liter.
- In Gandhinagar, diesel price is Rs 98.13, petrol price is Rs 102.01, XP95 price is Rs 110.57 and XG price is Rs 103.37 per liter.
- The new price of diesel in Guwahati is Rs 97.23 per liter, petrol price is Rs 105.73 per liter and XP95 price is Rs 114.68 per liter.
- After today’s price increase in Jaipur, the price of diesel is Rs 97.78 per liter, the price of petrol is Rs 112.69 per liter, the price of XP95 is Rs 121.97 per liter and the price of XG is Rs 103.23 per liter.
- In Patna, the capital of Bihar, the price of diesel has reached Rs 99.36 per liter, the price of petrol has reached Rs 113.37 per liter and the price of XP95 has reached Rs 122.25 per liter.
