Veteran actor Dharmendra is no more in this world. He died on 24 November 2025. After Dharmendra’s death, he was honored with ‘Padma Vibhushan’. The actress and her wife Hema Malini received this award. Now Hema Malini shared the post on social media and told how happy she is and how proud she is feeling.
Hema Malini became emotional
Hema Malini posted and wrote, ‘It was a very happy moment. One moment when I felt the presence of my husband Dharam ji, it seemed as if he had held my hand and was leading me towards the stage where the Padma Vibhushan award was waiting for him. Yesterday the Padma Award function took place, our President herself gave Padma Awards to everyone. I was there on behalf of Dharam ji and I felt very proud.

Hema Malini further wrote, ‘Memories of the years spent with him, first as a co-actor, we gave many hit films together. Later as life partner. He was a very loving, caring husband and a very good father and grandfather. He was a very valuable friend, true philosopher and trusted guide. Dharam ji had many qualities. He is a very kind, good person and is deeply loved by all who know him. I accepted the award on behalf of my entire family and millions of fans. I thank God that he gave me such good partners, gave me such good memories which I will cherish till my death. I am very happy.’

Dharmendra and Hema Malini’s daughter Esha Deol also posted. He wrote, ‘Proud moment. Moment of emotion. How deeply we all wished that he was with us today, dressed in white shirt and blue suit and looking as handsome as ever. He would have been excited like a young boy while going to receive the Padma Award. Yesterday my mother received the award on behalf of our family and Ahana, the youngest among us, represented Papa’s 6 children, became emotional and clapped in her father’s honour. The man we all love, whom we miss, whom we proudly call Papa. Will always be in our hearts.
