China-Pakistan Relations: Pakistan-China again spewed venom against India, Kashmir issue mentioned in joint statement, know the whole matter

The close coordination between China and Pakistan against India has once again come to the fore. The two countries issued a joint statement after Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif’s visit to Beijing and meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. In this statement, many such issues were mentioned on which Pakistan has already been giving statements against India. Especially on the Kashmir issue, China has once again supported Pakistan’s stand.

In the joint statement, China said that the Kashmir issue should be resolved peacefully in accordance with the UN Charter, UN Security Council resolutions and bilateral agreements. China has been supporting Pakistan many times in the past on the issue of Kashmir. Even at the time of removal of Article 370, China had used language like Pakistan.

Joint statement of China and Pakistan

In their statement, China and Pakistan talked about maintaining peace and stability in South Asia. Both countries said that regional disputes should be resolved through dialogue and diplomacy. However, India has been continuously saying that Kashmir is its internal matter and no third party can have any role in it. In the joint statement, both countries also expressed support for the United Nations based international system. Along with this, emphasis was laid on promoting multi-polar world order and inclusive global economic system. China also supported Pakistan as the next president of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO).

Shahbaz Sharif gave confidence to China

China and Pakistan also agreed to further strengthen their strategic relations. Both countries said that the development of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be further accelerated. Along with this, emphasis was also laid on making Gwadar Port a major center of regional connectivity and trade. The joint statement said that both countries have also welcomed the participation of third countries in CPEC projects. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured China that the security of Gwadar port will be further strengthened and port connectivity will be improved.

China-Pakistan praised each other

China and Pakistan also praised each other. China appreciated Pakistan’s role in the temporary ceasefire between America and Iran. China said that it supports Pakistan’s efforts to hold talks in Islamabad and towards peace. At the same time, Pakistan reiterated its commitment towards ‘One China Policy’ i.e. One-China principle. Pakistan also welcomed China’s efforts to increase dialogue with Afghanistan. In the joint statement, both the countries also talked about opposing the activities of organizations like Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan i.e. TTP and Eastern Turkistan Islamic Movement. Both countries expressed confidence in working together against terrorism and extremism in the region.
