Amidst the ongoing tension with Iran, US President Donald Trump has also slammed Oman and issued a direct warning. Regarding the Strait of Hormuz, Trump has bluntly said that no country will be allowed to control this important waterway. During the cabinet meeting, he said that the Strait of Hormuz should remain open to all countries and termed it as ‘International Watershed’ and said that no single country can show its authority over it.
What did Trump say?
Trump gave this response to a question in which he was asked whether he would approve the proposed system under which Iran and Oman would share control over the strategically important Strait of Hormuz. Trump said, ‘We will monitor it, but no one can control it, it is part of our conversation.’
Warning given to Oman
Trump gave a direct warning to Oman, saying, ‘They want to control it. No one can control it. This is international waters and Oman will have to behave like other countries, otherwise we will have to blow them up. However, after some time he softened his statement and said, ‘He understands this. They will be fine.

Where is the Iran deal stuck? Trump told
Donald Trump is unhappy with the ongoing talks with Iran. He said, ‘Iran’s intentions are very strong, they want to make an agreement, but we are not satisfied with their conditions, but we will be satisfied.’ He warned that ‘either we will agree to this or we will have to complete our mission.’
He said, ‘The agreement should be perfect. One of the biggest obstacles in the deal is the Strait of Hormuz, over which there is still suspense regarding future control. He said, ‘Iran is considering the demands made by the US regarding nuclear program and enriched uranium.’
