The scorching heat across the country has left people in dire straits. At some places the temperature has crossed 44 degrees and at other places people are unable to live without AC or cooler. Meanwhile, such a desi jugaad is going viral on social media, seeing which people are both surprised and praising it. It is being claimed that by spending just Rs 850, the roof can be made so cool that one can stand barefoot even in bright sunlight.
In the viral video, a man is seen standing on his terrace without slippers in the scorching afternoon sun. The person making the video is also surprised and asks that person how the roof is cool in such heat. In response, the man says that he has applied a special coating on the roof by mixing binder and waterproofing compound, due to which the heat of the roof has reduced significantly.
How to make Desi Cool Roof?
In the video, the young man tells that he has prepared this mixture by adding about 20 kg of chana, 5 kg of binder and some waterproof compound. First soak lime in water overnight, then mix other things in it and coat it on the roof. The young man claims that due to this the temperature of the roof has reduced by about 15 degrees and now he feels less heat inside the house too. He also told that this coating can be done on a roof of about 1000 square feet for only Rs 800 to 850. In the video, the young man says that now his dependence on cooler and AC has reduced, the fan has also started giving cool air.
