India’s Startup Ecosystem has suffered a major setback! In 2023-24 more than 28,000 startups were closed, of which Edtech, Fintech and Healthtech sector were the most affected. Startups, who raised big money in the initial funding, are no longer getting new funding, due to which they are unable to survive. Only 5,264 Startups started in 2024, while earlier 9,600 startups were launched every year. According to Tracxn’s data, the Startup acquisition has also come down to half.
