Regarding the US-Iran peace talk, foreign affairs expert Robinder Sachdev said that serious talks are going on between the two countries, but there are differences between the two countries on issues like enriched uranium and the Strait of Hormuz. Sachdev said that the talks between America and Iran are becoming very serious, but there are many challenges in it.
While talking to news agency ANI, Robinder Sachdev said that the talks between America and Iran are becoming very serious. However, there are many challenges in solving this complex puzzle. There are some parts of this puzzle that cannot be changed. Iran says that uranium cannot be sent out of the country. Donald Trump demands that drums filled with uranium powder be placed on the runway of Tehran airport, which can be transported by US Air Force cargo aircraft.
What are the main demands of Iran?
He said that at present no reconciliation is possible in both the situations. Sachdev also emphasized that Iran also wants peace in Lebanon and wants to free its funds from freezing. He told that apart from the uranium issue, there are many other demands. Iran is demanding permanent peace in any region including Lebanon, relaxation of sanctions and release of its frozen funds.
On the other hand, the US is demanding that uranium be removed, a ban on enrichment for a certain number of years and Iran’s ballistic missile program be reduced or banned. Apart from this, America has so far failed to open the Hormuzian Claw.
Hormuz became the biggest issue
Robinder Sachdev said that the real problem is that all these issues existed earlier also, but now a super weapon has emerged – ‘Claw of Hormuz’. The Strait of Hormuz was not used as a weapon before the war, but it has been tested after the war. Despite America’s use of bombs and economic blockade, neither America nor Israel has been able to open this claw.
He told that Hormuz has now become a paramount issue and it does not seem that Hormuz will open in the coming days also. Sachdev further said that even if all these issues are resolved. However, in an attempt to gain leverage, the Iranians will take the issue to their supreme leader and it will take a few days for him to respond.
