IPL is the biggest cricket league in the world. Whenever the final match is played, the tradition of conducting a closing ceremony before it has been going on for years. But no closing ceremony was held before the final match of IPL 2026. Before the title clash, different claims had come out that many big stars including Kailash Kher could give live performance, but all those claims turned out to be false.
Varun Dhawan, Mrinal Thakur were expected to come.
Before the final, it was being claimed that veteran Bollywood singer Kailash Kher could grace the closing ceremony. Apart from him, Gujarati lock singer Arvind Vegda can also perform live. Stand-up comedian Devanshi Shah was also expected to attend.
Media reports also claimed that Bollywood actors Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde will also make headlines by attending the Narendra Modi Stadium before the final match. Even a video went viral on social media, in which it was claimed that Kailash Kher will perform live in the closing ceremony and a drone show will also be displayed. But all the claims of any big star coming and giving performance have been proved false.
BCCI had not announced
Actually, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had not given any confirmation regarding the closing ceremony. Earlier, BCCI had not made any announcement regarding the opening ceremony. Earlier the board had not even organized the opening ceremony.
Talking about the final match, Bengaluru team had won the toss and decided to bowl first. This is the first time that the teams of Gujarat and Bengaluru are facing each other in the final of IPL.
