RCB Vs GT FINAL: ‘I had never thought that even in my dreams…’, emotional statement of RCB captain Rajat Patidar after the victory.

Gujarat Titans Vs Royal Challengers Bengaluru: Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has won the IPL 2026 title. In the final match held on Sunday, RCB won the title by defeating Gujarat Titans (GT) by 5 wickets. This is RCB’s second consecutive title and both times the captain has been Rajat Patidar. Patidar looked very emotional after winning the IPL 2026 title.

During the post-match presentation, RCB captain Rajat Patidar said, “It feels amazing. When we came here, a lot of memories of last year came back. I don’t have words to express my feelings, but I feel very good. Our plan was very clear. When we won the toss, it became easy for us to chase the target.

The way Bhuvi, Hazlewood, Rasik, Krunal, Suyyash and Shepherd bowled throughout the tournament was really commendable. I never dreamed that I would become the captain of RCB and win the trophy. I think it was written in my destiny. I am very grateful for this”.

He said, “This time our confidence was a little higher than last year. Wherever we went to play, we felt like it was our home ground because of the fans present there. My preparation before the tournament was very good. I tried to analyze which shots would be most effective for me. I got many important tips from Dinesh Karthik, which proved to be very helpful for me. He is always there for the team at every moment.”

Patidar said for RCB fans, “This is once again for you, RCB fans. This year the cup is ours.”

If we look at the final match, GT, who came to bat first after losing the toss, scored 155 runs for 8 wickets. Thanks to Virat Kohli’s unbeaten inning of 75 runs, RCB won the match by scoring 161 runs for 5 wickets in 18 overs and captured the IPL 2026 trophy.
