The dominance of Delhi zone was clearly visible in the merit list released this year, where many candidates who achieved top rank were from this zone. After the declaration of JEE Advanced 2026 results, lakhs of students are now eyeing the counseling process. JoSAA counseling will start from June 2
The counseling process of JoSAA is starting from 2nd June. Candidates will have to register by visiting the official portal and select the college and branch of their choice. After this, the process of seat allotment will be completed in various stages.
Will get admission in IIT, NIT and IIIT
Through JoSAA, admission is given to IITs, NITs, IIITs and other government funded technical institutes of the country. Through a single platform, students can apply for multiple institutes and courses, which makes the admission process easier.

AAT registration also started
Students who do B.Arch of IIT. For those who want to take admission in the course, the registration for Architecture Aptitude Test (AAT) 2026 has also started. The application process will start from 10 am today and will continue till 5 pm on June 2. Only candidates successful in JEE Advanced 2026 can apply for it.
How to register for JoSAA Counseling 2026?
step 1: Visit the official website of JoSAA josaa.nic.in.
Step 2: Sign in using your JEE Main or JEE Advanced login details.
Step 3: Check your information and notifications.
Step 4: Select preferred IIT, NIT, IIIT and GFTI institutes and branches.
Step 5: Complete the choice filling as per your choice and save the options.
Step 6: Lock your choice before the last date.
Step 7: Mock seat allotment and wait for seat allotment result.
Step 8: After getting the seat, pay the Seat Acceptance Fee and complete the online document verification process.
