Sleeping in wrong position- When lying on the back, the muscles of the tongue and throat bend backwards, due to which the windpipe gets partially closed.

increasing weight- Due to accumulation of excess fat around the throat and neck, the airway becomes smaller and snoring occurs.

Disturbance in the structure of the nose- Crooked nasal bone or growth of flesh inside the nose blocks the passage of air, which leads to the problem of snoring.

Drug abuse- At the same time, drinking alcohol just before sleeping loosens the throat muscles excessively, which creates obstruction and starts snoring.

Cold (Chronic Sinusitis)- Along with this, due to blocked nose, allergies or cold, a person has to breathe through the mouth, which becomes a major cause of snoring.

growing old- At the same time, with increasing age, the throat tissues start becoming loose, due to which the frequency of snoring increases.

This is how you will get relief from snoring

Sleep on your side- If you want to avoid snoring, then try to always sleep on the left or right side because this pose helps in keeping the respiratory tract completely open.

Regular exercise- Also do yoga or cardio workout for at least 30 minutes every day. Due to which the weight will start reducing and the pressure of the throat muscles will automatically reduce.

Keep the headboard high- While sleeping, raise your head about 4 inches by using an extra pillow. Due to this, the windpipe does not get blocked due to gravity.

Stay hydrated- Along with this, drink 8 to 10 glasses of water throughout the day. Because due to lack of water in the body, the mucus inside the nose and throat becomes sticky and creates blockage.

Take steam before sleeping- If your nose is blocked, take steam of hot water before going to bed at night.

Anti-Snoring Gadgets- Apart from this, on the advice of the doctor, you can use nasal strips or CPAP machine, which keep the air passages clean.
