Payroll System: Anupan Mittal, founder of Shaadi.com, has appealed to companies to rethink the way they pay their employees. He says that the traditional British era system of paying salary in the last or next month now needs to be changed. In his opinion, employees should get salary twice a month.
What did the LinkedIn post say?
Let us tell you that Anupam Mittal posted on LinkedIn. In this he said that many companies provide benefits like free food, work from home and long holidays to attract employees, but often they ignore the most basic need of the employees, timely salary. He wrote that most companies pay salaries on or before the 7th, but sometimes this date gets pushed further due to weekends, due to which employees have to face delays.

The company had made changes
Anupam Mittal told that Shaadi.com had changed its payroll system a few years ago and now the salary is given at the end of the same month instead of the next month. According to Mittal, this is not a convenience, but a part of common understanding. He further said that delay in salary is not just a matter of a few days, but it has a direct impact on the everyday life of the employees. Due to this, problems like EMI bounce, not being able to pay the rent on time and financial stress can arise. He says that cash flow is what really gives respect and security.
Suggestion of paying salary twice a month
Anupam Mittal suggested that companies should consider paying salaries to their employees twice a month i.e. on 15th and 30th. He believes that in today’s era of modern technology, this process is not difficult and it can provide financial stability to the employees. This will reduce the debt pressure and the spending capacity will also improve.
Petrol and diesel became cheaper by 22 rupees in Pakistan, people heaved a sigh of relief when the government reduced the prices.
According to Mittal, if companies adopt this system, the financial pressure on employees will reduce and the pace of expenditure in the entire economy can increase. He says that this step can be beneficial for the employees, companies and the economy of the country.
