Kuwait’s international airport has been attacked, due to which flight services have been stopped. According to AP report, flights had to be stopped after drone and missile attacks by Iran. Many people have also been injured in this attack. According to Kuwait’s government news agency, Kuwait International Airport was targeted on Wednesday (3 June 2026) morning. After the attack, authorities had to divert many flights and air services were affected. In the report, quoting the General Civil Aviation Authority, it was said that the Terminal-1 building of the airport has been extensively damaged.
Earlier, the US Army had said that two Iranian missiles fired towards Kuwait fell or broke before reaching their target. Three missiles fired towards Bahrain were stopped en route by American and Bahraini forces. According to the US Central Command, Iran fired ballistic missiles in the direction of many countries around it, but not all of them could reach their targets. The command also said that US forces responded to Iran’s attempted attack on Qeshm Island and destroyed several Iranian ballistic missiles and drones.

Iranian drone shot down by US military
According to the Central Command, the US Army also shot down Iranian drones targeting civilian ships in the maritime area. Apart from this, retaliatory attacks were also carried out on Qeshm Island located near the Strait of Hormuz. This is considered to be another major incident in the many military clashes that have taken place between the two sides in recent months. Even after more than 3 months have passed since America and Israel launched military operations against Iran, tension remains in the region. Although the ceasefire is in force, the Strait of Hormuz is still not completely normal for maritime traffic.
Iranian media claims
Iranian media says that there has been no direct talks with America for the last few days. On the other hand, US President Donald Trump rejected this claim and said that continuous talks are going on between the two countries. He said on social media that talks are taking place every day for the last several days and contact is maintained. Since mid-March, Donald Trump has been continuously saying that progress is being made towards an agreement that could end the war. After this, the negotiating parties will be able to further discuss important issues like Iran’s nuclear program.
