Rohit Sharma is the brand ambassador of this league. He came in support of Suryakumar Yadav and said that this journey has not been easy for him at all, but determination has brought him to this point.
Rohit Sharma said, “I can say with certainty that nothing has been easy for Suryakumar Yadav. He made his debut for Team India at the age of 30, which means he never gave up. He always kept fighting and when the opportunity came, he wanted to accept it with both hands and he was successful in it too.”
After the T20 series against Sri Lanka in 2024, Suryakumar Yadav could score only 932 runs in 42 innings as captain. During this period, he did not score a single century with his bat and scored only 6 half-centuries. Talking about his entire T20 career, Suryakumar Yadav scored 3272 runs in 113 matches.

Rohit Sharma also gave his reaction on Shreyas Iyer becoming the captain. He said, “Looking at the way he has captained his team in the IPL, I can say that he will handle Team India well.” Shreyas will be seen captaining Team India for the first time on the Ireland tour.
