Massive fire in Jaipur’s firecracker factory, 5 people burnt to death, many seriously burnt

Today (Tuesday, June 9) in Rajasthan’s capital Jaipur, five people died in a fire in an illegally operated firecracker factory, while three people were seriously burnt. People who got burnt in the fire have been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The condition of the three burnt people is said to be critical. The firecracker factory being operated illegally in a residential area has raised question marks on the functioning of the police and administration.

This illegal firecracker factory was operating for a long time in Kha Nagorian area, about 22 kilometers away from Jaipur city. This factory, which was being operated in a residential area, was running in a house built in just 100 square yards. A fire suddenly broke out here around 11.00 in the morning. People came to know about this when loud explosions started happening.

Fire department arrived after 40 minutes

The explosions were so powerful that their echoes were heard far away. Four people somehow managed to get out of the narrow path and were writhing in pain in the street. The rest of the people were trapped inside. Due to being away from the city, it took about 40 minutes for the fire brigade teams to reach.

After receiving the information, Collector Dr. Sandesh Nayak and ADM Yugantar Sharma along with many senior officials also reached the spot. The matter clearly appeared to be one of negligence, hence the officials were seen maintaining silence on every question while calling for an investigation.

MLA Amin Kaggi held the administration responsible

After some time, Congress MLA Amin Kaggi, who reached the spot, gave a vigorous class on government and administration. He said that the administration is directly responsible for these deaths. A firecracker factory was being operated illegally in a residential area and the local police and administration were not even aware of it. He demanded proper compensation to the victims’ families and strict action against the negligent officials as well as those operating illegal firecracker factories.

This incident in Jaipur has raised question marks on the functioning of the government staff. However, the administration has sealed the house in which the illegal firecracker factory was operating. If this step had been taken earlier, many people would not have lost their lives today. It can be said that the negligence of the system has ended the lives of five people.
