There is good news for lakhs of candidates preparing for UGC NET June 2026 exam. National Testing Agency (NTA) has released the exam city intimation slip. Now candidates can check the information about their exam city online and complete their travel and other necessary preparations in time. Although this is not a city slip admit card, it will let the candidates know in which city their examination will be conducted.
Exam city intimation slip released
The wait for the candidates who applied for UGC NET June 2026 exam is now over. NTA has released the city intimation slip giving information about the exam city. Candidates who have applied for the examination can download it with the help of their login details. The purpose of city slip is to inform the candidates about the examination city in advance so that they do not face any problem at the last moment.
Exam will start from 22nd June
According to the schedule released by NTA, UGC NET June 2026 exam will be conducted from June 22 to June 30, 2026. The examination will be held on scheduled dates for different subjects. The examination will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Candidates are advised to check the exam date and shift of their subject in advance.
Exam will be conducted in two shifts
UGC NET exam will be conducted in two shifts daily. The first shift will run from 9 am to 12 noon, while the second shift will be conducted from 3 pm to 6 pm. It will be important to reach the examination center on time so that all the formalities can be completed on time.

Admit cards will be released soon
After the release of the city slip, now the candidates are waiting for the admit card. Admit cards can be issued by NTA about four days before the commencement of the examination. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website regularly so as not to miss any important information. Candidates are required to carry their admit card and a valid photo identity card on the day of examination. Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID Card, Driving License or Passport can be used as identity proof. Without admit card and identity card, entry into the examination center will not be allowed.

Candidates first visit the official website of UGC NET. ugcnet.nta.nic.in Go to.After this click on the link related to Exam City Intimation Slip. Now login by entering the application number, date of birth and security code. After filling all the information correctly, the information about the exam city will appear on the screen. If the candidates wish, they can also take a printout of it or keep it safe for future.
