During the G7 summit held in France, US President Donald Trump had told the leaders present at the summit – ‘I Am The Boss’. After Trump’s statement went viral, people gave different types of reactions on social media. Now Trump has come clean on this entire matter. The American President said that I was joking. I wasn’t trying to be the boss.
Trump said during an interview with Axios that his comment was meant to be a joke, but it was taken out of context. Recalling that moment, the show’s host asked Trump, ‘You came in and you said I am the boss. How many of them would have believed this?’
The US President said that he was just joking when he was going to the room where the world leaders were already sitting. He said that his comment should not have been taken seriously, but it was blown out of proportion. Trump told that they were all sitting and I went into the room. He further said that all of them are well-known personalities and heads of their countries. I went inside and those leaders were there, I just looked at them and said I am the boss. This was said jokingly and it spread all over the world. I can’t believe it. I wasn’t trying to be the boss.

The US President had made a funny comment while entering the meeting on the last day of the G7 Summit on Wednesday, at which everyone laughed. While entering the morning meeting of the last day of the 3-day G7 summit, Trump had said that I am the boss. Amidst laughter, French President Emmanuel Macron took this comment in a light tone. The French President asked ‘How are you?’ Trump replied, ‘I am fine, thank you.’
Just after his 80th birthday party, Trump attended the G7 summit in France. In this summit, various issues affecting Iran, Ukraine, business and the world were discussed.
