Amidst the re-exam of NEET being held across the country, there was a prolonged uproar today at a center in Ajmer city of Rajasthan when a girl student wearing a burqa was stopped from entering. A candidate named Kulsoom, resident of Beawar district of Rajasthan, reached the Government Girls Higher Secondary School Center located in Savitri area of Ajmer city to appear for the examination in a burqa. Kulsoom was refused entry because she was wearing a burqa.
During this, Kulsoom and her elderly father Mohammad Arif had a long argument with the center administrator and the policemen present for security. The security personnel posted at the gate of the center were not at all ready to allow her entry in burqa. After this, when Kulsoom revealed the guidelines of the National Testing Agency, many other people also intervened in this matter.

After the media personnel reached the spot and the security check was completed, student Kulsoom was allowed to enter the examination centre. However, due to the dispute and uproar at the gate, he had to wait for about an hour. On receiving information about the incident, Ajmer District Collector Lokbandhu also reached the examination center and said that all the prescribed guidelines related to the examination are being ensured to be followed.
At the same time, Kulsoom and her father Mohammad Arif expressed strong protest when they were stopped from entry due to wearing burqa. He said that even during the examination held in May, he was given entry wearing a burqa and this time also he had reached the center before time, hence he should not have been stopped.
