12 yoga postures of Surya Namaskar:-
1. Pranamasana (Prayer Pose)- Surya is saluted by standing straight with folded hands.
2. Hasta Uttanasana (Raised Arms Pose)- The body is slightly tilted backwards by raising the hands upward.
3. Padahastasana (Standing Forward Bend)- Bending from the waist, the hands are taken towards the ground near the feet.
4. Ashwa Sanchalanasana (Equestrian Pose)- One leg is taken back and the front knee is bent and looked up.
5. Dandasana (Plank Pose)- Both the legs are taken back and the body is kept in a straight line.
6. Ashtanga Namaskar (Eight-Limbed Salute)- Make a posture of salutation by resting your knees, chest and chin on the ground.
7. Bhujangasana (Cobra Pose)- The upper part of the body is lifted up and turned backwards.
8. Mountain Pose- By raising the hips the body is brought into an inverted V shape.
9. Horse Sanchalanasana- Now the posture of the fourth step is repeated by bringing the other foot forward.
10. Padahastasana- Leaning forward again, the hands are brought near the feet.
11. Hasta Uttanasana- The body is raised and the hands are taken backwards.
12. Pranamasana- Finally, hands come back to the initial position and are folded.
