After the first round of talks in Switzerland, tension seems to be increasing between America and Iran regarding nuclear testing. Amid peace talks, Donald Trump warned on Tuesday (June 23) that there will be no agreement without nuclear inspection. While Iran is denying any program to take UN officials to the bombed nuclear site, the US claims that everything regarding the investigation has already been decided.
The US President said that under the proposed peace agreement between America and Iran, international nuclear inspectors will be given permission to enter Iran. Also rejected Tehran’s claims that no such inspection system has been accepted.
Trump rejected Iran’s claim
Trump has also rejected the claims of Iranian officials in which he was raising questions on the scope of the surveillance system. He emphasized that Iran is well aware of all the terms of the agreement that are being discussed. “They are wrong, they know they are wrong and if they were right I would cancel the meetings right now,” he said, referring to reports and statements from the Iranian side questioning inspection commitments.
The US President further said that under this agreement, inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will be allowed to go later. He said, ‘They will be present on the spot at the right time.’

Why did the controversy start?
The dispute came to light when the US-Iran peace agreement was being negotiated in Switzerland. Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ismail Baghai rejected the claim of US Vice President JD Vance and said that no time has been fixed for the investigation of the nuclear sites which were bombed by the US last year.
Under the deal signed between the two countries last week, Iran has agreed to reduce its uranium stock, in return for which US sanctions on it will be lifted.
Earlier, US President Donald Trump had said in a post on the social media platform ‘Truth Social’, ‘Despite the false statements made in an attempt to make America’s victory look as small and insignificant as possible and the continuous propaganda of the fake news media, Iran has completely and unconditionally accepted high-level nuclear inspections that will last for a very long time in the future. This will ensure ‘nuclear honesty’. The US President said that if Iran was not ready for this, there would have been no further talks.
