Former Bihar minister and Janashakti Janata Dal chief Tej Pratap Yadav (Tej Pratap Yadav) Had filed a written complaint against his personal assistant (PA) Motilal Rai in Patna’s Secretariat police station, accusing him of theft of cash and other valuables. A new controversy came to light in this matter on Friday (June 26, 2026).
Ranju Devi, wife of Tej Pratap Yadav’s driver Anil Yadav, reached the police station. Ranju said that in the theft that Motilal, who was at Tej Pratap Yadav’s house, has committed, my husband’s name is as a witness. Due to this, Motilal’s wife, sister-in-law and father-in-law came at night and threatened him not to testify. We have come to the police station in this matter.
‘…then we will get the whole family taken away’
Ranju Devi said that if we have received a threat, we will protect ourselves, that is why we have come to the police station. He said, “Motilal’s wife has threatened that if Anil (Tej Pratap’s driver) ji testifies in Bhaiya’s (Tej Pratap Yadav) case, she will get the entire family arrested.”

Tej Pratap had filed a case in the police station
Let us tell you that Tej Pratap Yadav had filed a case against Motilal in the police station in the theft case. In the application given to the police station in-charge, it was said that Motilal Rai had stolen about Rs 20 lakh in cash and other valuables from his residence at 42, Harding Road, Patna. Motilal was working as his personal assistant.

According to the complaint, the stolen items included a 2 tola gold chain, a gold ring, four pen drives of Sony company, two hard disks, an iPad, a MacBook laptop, a Lenovo laptop and four iPhone 17 Pro Max mobile phones. In the application, Tej Pratap Yadav has claimed that the incident took place on the night of 22 June 2026.
On the other hand, Motilal Rai’s wife Preeti Bharti has completely rejected these allegations and called it a well-planned conspiracy. Preeti Bharti also went to the police station and lodged a complaint. Was accused of harassing the family.
After the incident, Janashakti Janata Dal chief and former Bihar minister Tej Pratap Yadav has expelled his former personal assistant and party’s national general secretary Motilal Rai from the party with immediate effect.
