The scorching and humid heat in Uttar Pradesh is showing no sign of abating. There was light rain in some parts of the state on Thursday, but it did not provide much relief. Even today, the effect of rain and severe heat wave can be seen at some places in the state. Meanwhile, the Meteorological Department has given good news regarding monsoon. According to IMD, monsoon is going to enter Uttar Pradesh soon.
According to the Meteorological Department, monsoon has started advancing from the south-west in UP. In such a situation, the effect of monsoon will be seen in UP also in the next two-three days. After which the process of rain will start in the state and people will get relief from the heat.
How will the weather be in UP today?
Mixed weather is expected in both western and eastern divisions of UP today, June 26. During this period, there may be light to moderate pre-monsoon rains in 29 districts from Agra to Varanasi, whereas in the capital Lucknow, Ayodhya, Prayagraj, warnings have been given of severe heat and heat wave. However, during this period, the weather may change with strong storms and rain at some places.
In the capital Lucknow, the weather has remained dry and humid for the last three days. Even today, people here will have to face the scorching heat throughout the day and severe heat wave can trouble them. At present there is no chance of rain here. Apart from this, heat wave alert has also been given in Sitapur, Ayodhya, Amethi, Barabanki, Hardoi and Unnao today.

Whereas in Kanpur, Rae Bareli, Fatehpur, Banda, Lakhimpur Kheri, Bahraich, Sultanpur, Kaushambi, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Gonda, Shravasti, Balrampur, There are heat warnings in Siddharthnagar, Basti, Ambedkar Nagar, Azamgarh and Jaunpur today.

The weather in Noida-Ghaziabad is also clear today, although movement of clouds can be seen after noon. The Meteorological Department has warned Agra, Mathura, Aligarh, Hathras, Etah, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Jhansi, Lalitpur, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Mirzapur, Chandauli, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Mau, Ballia, Maharajganj, Kushinagar, Deoria, Sant Kabir Nagar and Gorakhpur and surrounding areas. Light to moderate rain with thunderstorms has been predicted in the areas.
According to the Meteorological Department, the effect of monsoon will be seen in the state from June 29-30. After which, heavy rain will be seen in many districts of Purvanchal, while there will be clouds and rain in Western UP also. Due to rain, the temperature of the state will also drop by 5-8 degrees in the next four days.
