Inflation News: If the supply of oil and LPG stops now, what will be the impact on India? Then you will have to take the risk!

LPG-OIL News: There has been a ceasefire between Iran and America. This ceasefire will remain in force for 60 days. But the question is, what after 60 days? What if there is no agreement between Iran and America? Will inflation rise again? Will there be shortage of oil and gas again? The biggest question of all is what will be its impact on India?

What will be the impact on India?
In fact, recently rating agency CRISIL has come out with some new figures, which shows what may happen in the future. According to this rating of CRISIL, now the impact of this conflict on the profits of Indian companies will be much less than before. The operating profits of companies are now expected to decline by about 1% in the financial year 2026-27.

However, earlier it was being estimated that if the conflict continued for a long time and the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz was affected, then the profit could have decreased by 2%. This estimate has come at a time when the movement of ships in the Strait of Hormuz has resumed after the ceasefire. Due to this, the prices of crude oil have also declined. However, CRISIL said that the tension in the Middle East has not completely ended and it may take some time for the gas supply to return to normal.

Will crude oil prices increase?
According to CRISIL report, the average price of Brent crude oil may be $ 80-85 per barrel in this financial year. At the same time, the interruption in gas supply may last for about four months.

These areas may be affected
Earlier there was a possibility of impact on 22 areas, now it has reduced to 10 areas. Areas that may remain under pressure include:

  • aviation
  • ceramic
  • flexible packaging
  • Specialty Chemicals
  • polyester textile
  • Diamond polishing industry is involved.

These industries may continue to be impacted by expensive raw materials and supply-related challenges. Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) are expected to benefit the most from the fall in crude oil prices. Fertilizer companies can also benefit from cheap crude oil and reduction in energy costs. According to CRISIL, there is a possibility of improvement in the earnings (profitability) of these companies due to low oil prices.
