UPTET Exam 2026: Uttar Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test 2026 (UPTET 2026) is going to start from tomorrow i.e. Thursday. For the candidates appearing in the examination, Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, along with issuing the admit card, has also issued necessary guidelines related to the examination. The Commission has clarified that it will be mandatory to reach the examination center before the scheduled time. Because the entry gates will be closed 45 minutes before the start of the examination, after that no candidate will be allowed to enter.

UPTET 2026 will be conducted in two shifts from July 2 to July 4. Paper 2 exam will be held on July 2 and 3, while Paper 1 will be conducted on July 3 and 4. The exam will be offline. The first shift will run from 9:30 am to 12:00 noon while the second shift will be held from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm. According to the Commission, the gate of the examination center will be closed at 8:45 am for the first shift and at 1:45 pm for the second shift. Candidates have been advised to try to reach the examination center at least an hour before, so that last minute problems can be avoided.

To appear in the examination, candidates must have the updated printed admit card of 2026. Along with this, the original photo identity card, its photocopy and three recent passport size photographs will also have to be carried along. Valid identity cards include Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Voter ID, Driving License or other government photo identity card. Candidates on whose admit card E-KYC Required at Exam Center is written. It will be mandatory for them to carry the original Aadhar card for verification.

What can and cannot be taken to the examination centre?
The Commission has given permission to take only essential items inside the examination centre. Candidates can carry with them printed admit card, original photo identity card, three passport size photographs, black ball pen, normal clipboard or hard board without any writing and transparent water bottle. Apart from this, there will be no permission to carry mobile phones, smart watches, watches, Bluetooth devices, earphones, calculators, tablets, laptops, pen drives, hard disks, ATM cards, notes, books, electronic gadgets or electronic devices made of any type of metal inside the examination centre. The Commission has warned that if banned items are found, the candidate’s examination can be canceled and action can also be taken against him.
