LPG Rate Today on July 3: Today there is no change in the prices of 14.2 kg domestic LPG cylinder in the country. However, the price of 19 kg commercial cylinder has recently been reduced by Rs 183.50. This has provided relief to restaurant, confectioner and dhaba owners, whose business was earlier affected due to increased prices. Domestic cylinder prices were increased by Rs 29 in the month of June. Since then, no announcement of reduction in its price has been made.
When did the prices of commercial gas cylinders increase?
- The new year started (January 1, 2026) with an increase of Rs 111, taking its price to Rs 1691.50.
- Next month in February, the price was again increased by Rs 49, due to which the price reached Rs 1740.50.
- On March 1, commercial gas cylinder became costlier by Rs 28 and reached Rs 1768.50.
- An increase of Rs 114.50 was made on March 7, taking the price to Rs 1883.0.
- On April 1, it was increased by Rs 195.50.
- On May 1, the rate reached a high level of Rs 3071.50 with a bumper jump of Rs 993.
- On June 1, it was again increased by Rs 42 and the price reached Rs 3113.50.

Decreased use of LPG
According to the recent report of Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC), LPG consumption in India has declined by 8% in the first six months of 2026. The report said that India consumed about 14.7 million tonnes of LPG between January and June 2026, compared to 15.9 million tonnes in the same period last year. This shows that LPG is being used less.
On this, the government said that the decrease in LPG consumption is due to disruption in the supply chain. India imports about 60% of its needs and about 90% of it also comes from the Gulf countries of West Asia, which reach India through the Strait of Hormuz. Due to the war between America and Iran, this route was blocked, due to which the supply was interrupted.
