A day before the final salute ceremony of Iran’s former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Tehran has warned America and Israel. Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf has said that if America and Israel do not respect the memorandum of understanding signed between Washington and Tehran last month, Iran will give an appropriate response. During a meeting with the Speaker of the Belarus Parliament, he said that Iran will demand full implementation of the agreements.
Iran’s warning to US and Israel
According to government media outlet ISNA, Mohammad Baqir Ghalibaf has warned America and Israel that if they do not fulfill their promises, Iran will again start taking similar steps against them. Along with this, Ghalibaf claims that America has now understood that it cannot win against Iran militarily.
Netanyahu distanced himself from the deal
According to the Times of Israel report, Israel was not included in this agreement and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has distanced himself from it. However, according to the terms of the agreement, it applies to America, Iran and all their allies, the aim of which is to end the war forever. Israeli officials are strongly opposing this agreement because they believe that it does not fulfill the main objective of the war. Israel’s aim is to destroy Iran’s nuclear and missile programs and topple its government.
Khamenei’s final salute program
The funeral of Iran’s former supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is being held between July 4 and July 9, 2026. A funeral and tribute ceremony has been scheduled for 4 and 5 July at the Grand Imam Khomeini Mosque in Tehran. After this, the last yatra will be taken out on 6th July. Khamenei’s mortal remains will be buried at the Imam Reza Dargah in Mashhad on July 9. The Ministry of External Affairs said that from the Indian side, Bihar Governor Lieutenant General (retired) Syed Ata Hasnain and Minister of State for External Affairs Pabitra Margherita will go to Iran to participate in this program.
Iranian Foreign Minister warned Israel
Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said on Wednesday (July 1, 2026) that under the US-Iran Agreement (MoU), the US has the responsibility to restrain Israel and prevent it from threatening Iran. Israeli Defense Minister Katz said that Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei is on target for death. He also said that Israel will never allow Iran to make nuclear weapons, no matter what agreement is reached between America and Iran.
