All 6 named accused are currently absconding
In this entire case, lawyer Abdul Razzaq Gujjar has said that the 11 year old minor boy will face trial along with other named accused. Others who have been accused include Nematullah, the father of an 11-year-old child. Second Gul Plaza Management Committee members include Tanveer Pasta, Amar Ismail, Muhammad Ramzan and Muhammad Amin. However, all the 6 accused are said to be absconding since the incident.

The incident happened on 17 January 2026
The matter is related to January 17. An incident of arson took place in the shopping complex Gul Plaza on MA Jinnah Road in Karachi. In this, 72 people were killed, 8 were injured and 1,154 shops were burnt to ashes. The fire brigade team remained busy extinguishing the fire for almost a week. According to the charge sheet filed in the court, the name of the 11 year old child is Huzaifa. That day, he was managing a fake flower shop in place of his father. Then, while playing with matchsticks, a fire broke out. These things are recorded in the charge sheet.
What have the witnesses told in their statements?
In this case, 42 witnesses will give their testimony in the court. The witnesses have said in their statements that Nematullah often left his son alone at the shop. The same thing happened on that day too. At the same time, a witness named Aryan told that he saw Huzaifa playing with matchsticks. Due to which this incident happened.
