There is big news for students studying MBBS from abroad. National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has declared the result of FMGE June 2026 examination. Thousands of candidates who appeared in this examination can now check their results. The date for downloading the scorecard has also been announced. Let us know the complete further process.
NBEMS has released the result of Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) June 2026. This examination is for those students who have completed MBBS from abroad and want to acquire the necessary qualification to practice as a doctor in India. The examination was conducted on 28 June 2026 at different examination centers in the country. Now candidates can check their result by visiting the official website.
How many candidates were successful, how many could not pass the exam
This time a total of 37,448 candidates appeared in the FMGE June 2026 examination. Of these, 5,086 candidates have passed the examination. Whereas 31,645 candidates could not succeed. Apart from this, 1,148 candidates did not appear in the examination. Every year a large number of students take part in this examination, because this examination is necessary for foreign medical graduates to practice medicine in India.
When will the scorecard be available and for how long will it be available?
According to NBEMS, candidates will be able to download their individual scorecard from 16 July 2026. The marks obtained by the candidate and other important information will be given in the scorecard. The board has clarified that the scorecard will be available on the website only for six months from the date of issue. Therefore, all the candidates should download their scorecard in time and keep it safe. It will not be issued again after the stipulated time.
Easy way to download FMGE scorecard
To download the scorecard, first go to the official website of NBEMS. After this click on FMGE June 2026 Scorecard link. Now enter your user ID and password or the requested login information. After login, your scorecard will appear on the screen. Download it and take a print out and keep it safe for future need.

Will medical registration be done through scorecard?
NBEMS has clarified that the scorecard downloaded from the website is not a valid document for medical registration. To register with the Medical Council, candidates will need an FMGE pass certificate. This pass certificate will be given to the candidates in person after completion of verification of documents and identity. The date and venue of pass certificate distribution will be released later on the official website of NBEMS.
What did the board say about wrong questions?
The board has informed that all the questions and answers of the examination were re-examined by a team of experts. Marks for the questions in which technical mistakes were found were given to all the candidates. Whereas for those questions which had two correct answers, full marks were given to the candidates who chose either of the two correct options. This ensured that injustice was not done to any candidate.
