Students work hard throughout the year to get good marks in the examination, but imagine what would happen if the answer to the question is printed along with the question in the exam paper? A similar surprising case has come to light in a university in Kerala. Here, during the examination of B.Sc. (Statistics) second semester, students got such a question paper in which a question was already printed along with its answer. As soon as the matter came to light, questions were raised on the examination system and the university administration started an investigation.
According to reports, the incident occurred during the B.Sc Statistics (Second Semester) examination held on Monday. Shortly after the commencement of the examination, the students and the officials present at the examination center noticed a serious mistake in the question paper. Just below a question, its answer was also printed. The students were also surprised to see this, because the question for which they had to answer was already present in the question paper.
University started investigation
As soon as information about the matter was received, the university administration came into action. Considering this as serious negligence, the officials have ordered an investigation into the entire matter. Besides, clarification has also been sought from the Chairman of the concerned Board of Studies. The administration wants to know how such a big mistake happened during the process of preparing and printing the question paper.
Questions raised on examination system
Education experts say that before finalizing the question paper of any examination, it is examined at many levels. In such a situation, printing the answer along with the question is considered a major negligence in the entire process. Such a mistake not only raises questions on the fairness of the examination, but also affects the credibility of the examination system of the university.

What will be the effect on the result?
At present the university has not clarified what effect this mistake will have on the examination results. It has also not been decided whether the concerned question will be canceled or all the students will be given its full marks. The final decision on this will be taken after the completion of the investigation.

After this incident, mixed reactions were seen among the students. Many students called it serious negligence on the part of the exam management, while some said that it could affect the fairness of the exam. This matter is also becoming increasingly viral on social media and people are raising questions that when the question paper is released after several levels of investigation, then how did such a big mistake remain.
