NTA Vacancy: National Testing Agency NTA, which has been facing criticism for a long time due to NEET paper leak and irregularities in many other exams, is going to make changes in its structure. This organization working under the Ministry of Education has started a big recruitment drive, under which notification has been issued for 4 Senior General Manager posts and also applications have been invited for 16 Young Professionals through the Pratibha Setu portal of UPSC. This step was taken by Prof. Of. It is being considered as the first concrete effort towards implementing the recommendation of the high level special committee headed by Radhakrishnan.
General Manager (Assessment Research & Development & Psychometrics)
Appointment to the four General Manager posts will initially be done on a 3-year contract basis. The first post among these is that of General Manager who will lead the academic and evaluation research work of NTA. The person appointed to this post will also have to oversee question bank development, exam normalization methodology, equating and calibration process as well as pilot projects related to computer adaptive testing and AI based assessment. For this post, the applicant must have a doctoral degree in Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, Statistics or related subject and at least 12 years of post-doctoral experience, out of which 5 years should be spent in a senior leadership role in a national-international testing organization.
General Manager (Test Center Network & Operations)
The second post is that of General (Test Center Network and Operations) who will oversee the examination infrastructure spread in more than 500 cities across the country and some select international centres. This role includes responsibilities like selection of test centres, capacity planning, quality assurance, facilities for candidates with disabilities, test day operations and coordination with state and district administrations. For this, the applicant must have senior operational experience in managing a network of at least 200 locations.
General Manager (Information Security)
The third post is of General Manager (Information Security) who will also play the role of Chief Information Security Officer of the agency. This position will lead the cyber security functions of NTA, which includes monitoring the 24*7 Security Operation Center along with compliance with the guidelines of Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023, IT Act 2000 and CRT-In. For this, the applicant should have 12 years of information security experience.

General Manager (Vigilance Investigation & Forensics)
The fourth post is that of General Manager Vigilance Investigation and Forensics, who will lead the internal vigilance and digital forensics functions of NTA. This role includes investigating any suspected irregularities in the examination, developing in-house digital forensic capabilities and coordinating with agencies like CBI, IB, ED, state police and cyber crime unit in cases covered under the Public Examinations Act 2024.
For the first time, recruitment will be done through Pratibha Setu portal.
Apart from this, NTA has also invited applications for 16 young professionals through UPSC’s Pratibha Setu portal. This is the first time that the agency has used this portal for recruitment. This opportunity is open to those candidates who have appeared for the Civil Services Examination and whose name is listed on the Pratibha Setu portal. Out of these 16 posts, 12 posts are for Academic Research, 2 posts are for Legal Research and 2 posts are for Finance and Accounts Department. Selected candidates will be posted in the Academic Legal and Finance & Accounts Departments of NTA for 24 months, which can be extended up to 36 months based on performance.
