Asian market

Today the business trend in Asian markets seems to be mixed. The US Fed’s decisions to keep the interest rates stable and the recovery from lower levels in the shares of AI chipmaker companies definitely supported the market, but the new warnings given by US President Donald Trump to Iran and the subsequent increase in crude oil prices have made investors a little cautious. Today Japan’s Nikkei 225 index has fallen by 0.25%. Topix has also fallen by 0.59%. Small-cap Kosdaq is registering a decline of 0.73%. However, unlike them, Kospi has gained 0.89% in early trade today after a big fall on Wednesday. Similarly, Hong Kong Hang Seng Index futures are also at the level of 25959 today as compared to its previous closing of 25807.9.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell 1,153.18 points, or 2.19%, to 51,594.14, its biggest decline since April 2025, due to the Federal Reserve’s decision to keep interest rates on hold and new geopolitical tensions in the Middle East. The S&P 500 declined 1.52% and closed at 7,316.15. The Nasdaq Composite fell 1.74% to 24,442.94. This trading session on Wall Street closed more than 10% below its all-time high.
