On Friday, May 9, 2025, the benchmark index Sensex and Nifty fell by more than 1 percent in the last trading session. According to the stock market holiday list, in May, 2025 there is only one day holiday in the stock market- on the occasion of Maharashtra Day, which has been celebrated on May 1, 2025. After this, there is not a single holiday in the stock market in June and July. Now the market will be closed directly on August 15, 2025 on the occasion of Independence Day. After this, Ganesh Chaturthi will be celebrated on 27 August 2025. There will be no trading in the stock market on this day.

This will be followed by three holidays in October- Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti/Dussehra on 2 October, Diwali on 21 October and Diwali Balipratipada on 22 October. On 5 November, Prakash Guruparva Shri Guru Nanak Dev will be closed on the day of Christmas on 25 December.
