On the instructions of the Chief Minister, the Health Department has issued a detailed guideline, in which simple and necessary measures are given to the common man. Principal Secretary, Medical and Health Partha Sarathi Sen Sharma said that people have been advised not to exit from 12 noon to 4 pm, because this time is the hottest and the possibility of heat stroke is the highest.
What to do to avoid heat and what not to do
According to the guideline of the health department, keep the head and body covered while exiting, wear light and loose clothes, keep the umbrella, glasses and water bottles with. Arrange for curtains or sheds in the house so that the sun does not come directly inside. Keep taking fluids like water, shikanji, lemonade, buttermilk or coconut water.
Special instructions have been given for children, elderly and sick persons. Do not leave them alone in summer. Do not leave children or animals in the vehicles parked in the sun. Do not eat on an empty stomach, stale food or excessive protein. Avoid hot or dehydrated beverages like alcohol, tea, coffee.
