Raipur News: President Draupadi Murmu has praised the people of Chhattisgarh. He said that Chhattisgarh is good. The President started the speech with Jai Johar. Addressing the program, President Draupadi Murmu said, “I have come here 5-6 times before. People here are very good. Just as you consider Bargarh, Sambalpur as part of Chhattisgarh, we also consider Raipur as part of Odisha.” He said that there is a limit to delimitation but there is no wall of heart. We are all one by heart. Whether it is Chhattisgarh or Odisha. Addressing the Silver Jubilee celebrations, the President said that the end of Naxalism from Chhattisgarh is now in the last phase.
President Draupadi Murmu’s address in the assembly
He said, “Our soldiers are fighting a decisive battle against Naxalism very bravely. The development schemes of the state government are proving to be helpful in the fight against Naxalism. Youth are joining the mainstream by Naxalism and Maoism.” The President said that the role of all of you as an MLA is very important. Women have got special support in Chhattisgarh Assembly. He called upon women MLAs to continuously move forward in every sphere of life.
Remember the first woman MP of the state
The President said that the state of Chhattisgarh is a symbol of Mother India in the true sense. She recalled the contribution of the state’s first female MP Minimata. Said that Minimata represented the state in the Lok Sabha 5 times in a row. Significantly, Draupadi Murmu is the third President to address the Chhattisgarh Assembly. Earlier, Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam and Pratibha Devi Patil have addressed the Chhattisgarh Assembly. President Draupadi Murmu stayed in Chhattisgarh Assembly for about 1 hour. He also planted a step plant in the assembly premises.
