BJP Slams TMC over sharmishta panoli arrest: The Bharatiya Janata Party has become an attack on West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her party Trinamool Congress (TMC) for the arrest of social media influencer Sharmishtha Panoli. BJP leader and Leader of West Bengal Legislative Assembly has targeted the government, calling the arrest of Opposition Sharmishtha Panoli illegal. He alleged that the Trinamool Congress has taken this action to please a particular vote bank, while he has not taken any such action against his own leaders till now.
Trinamool Congress only targets Sanatanis- Shubhendu
Targeting the West Bengal government led by Mamta Banerjee, BJP leader Shubhendu Adhikari said, “All action is taken against the Sanatanis only and only.” He said, “When Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra had made objectionable remarks regarding Devi Kali, an FIR was filed against her, but what action was taken against her? Apart from this, what action was taken by another MP of his party on the social media platforms about Lord Shiva (Mahadev), what action was taken against him? Any action was taken, not at all. Because the action will be only against the Sanatanis and here everyone has got a license to abuse Sanatanis. “
Trinamool Congress doing politics of appeasement- Shubhendu
BJP leader and West Bengal Assembly Leader of Opposition Shubhendu Adhikari said, “Whatever the Trinamool Congress is doing it is a politics of appeasement. She is doing all this to make them happy only a special community, which is their vote bank.”
He said, “Mahua Moitra used objectionable language against Devi Kali in a talk show, after which at least 200 FIRs were lodged against her, but whether any action was taken against her, no.”
