Central Govt Calls Meeting Before Presenting Waqf Bill Amendment Bill 2024 in Parliament all mp will present Congress SP

Waqf amendment bill 2024: The Central Government has called a meeting of all MPs on Wednesday (26 March 2025) before bringing the Waqf Amendment Bill in Parliament, in which the issue will be discussed in detail. In the coordination room number 5 of Parliament, all MPs have been informed on the Waqf Bill from 9.30 am to 10.30 am. Many opposition parties, including the Congress, are attacked by the BJP government at the Center for the Waqf Amendment Bill.

Demonstrations on Waqf Amendment Bill

Demonstrations are also being organized against the central government in many parts of the country regarding the Waqf Amendment Bill. Many organizations including Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind are calling it anti-Muslim. The All India Muslim Personal Law Board (AIMPLB) has spoken about a sit -in demonstration in several states against the Waqf Bill Amendment Bill 2024. AIMPLB said that under its first phase, there will be a demonstration in front of the assemblies in Patna on March 26 and Vijayawada on March 29.

According to AIMPLB, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, including Janata Dal United (JDU), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Congress and Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) have been invited to protest in Patna. AIMPLB has sent an invitation to the ruling Telugu Desam Party (TDP), YSR Congress, Congress and Left parties to join the dharna in Andhra Pradesh for demonstration against the Waqf Amendment Bill.

The Joint Committee of Parliament has submitted its report on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. The 31 -member committee on the bill suggested several amendments in the proposed law after several meetings and hearing, while opposition members disagreed with the report. The report of about 655 pages on this bill was submitted to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on 31 January 2025. The Joint Committee accepted the reports suggested by BJP MPs by 15–11 majority.
