Muzammil said- ‘Ayan is my friend. He was writing a script keeping me in a mind. He used to talk to me about casting. At that time, the casting of Deepika and Katrina used to be with me. We were very close and you know that she was the right cast for that film. I also told him these things, because he used to ask me such things. But it happened that later the matter of casting went ahead. Communication was disturbed due to casting agents, because they have their own agenda and they perform favoriteism. As long as Ayan Mukherjee was talking directly, there was no misunderstanding. But as soon as the casting agents came, things deteriorated.
Muzammil further said- ‘I did not call Ayan because I felt that if the script was not found, the role would probably be small. At the same time, I also felt that the friendship of Ranbir Kapoor and Ayan was very deep, which had an effect on my mind. Perhaps I should have talked to Ayan.
