If your Hindi is good and you are interested in translation i.e. translation, then you have a great opportunity to get a government job. Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has recruited several posts like Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Senior Translator and Hindi Sub Inspector. The application process for these posts has started.
When and where to apply?
Interested candidates can apply online from 5 June 2025 by visiting the new official website of SSC ssc.gov.in. The last date for application has been fixed till 26 June 2025 at 11 pm. Application fees can also be paid till this date.
How many vacancies are there and what positions?
A total of 437 posts are to be recruited under this recruitment. This includes posts like Junior Translator, Junior Hindi Translator, Senior Translator and Central Forces like Hindi Sub-Inspector. The responsibility of each post will be different, but everyone’s work will be related to translation and language.
What should be the qualification?
Candidates applying for these posts should have a Masters degree from a recognized university to Hindi or English. Also, good hold in both Hindi and English is necessary. Physical criteria are also necessary for the post of Hindi sub-inspector-the height of men should be at least 165 cm and 155 cm of women.
What is age limit?
The minimum age for these posts should be 18 years and maximum 30 years. Age in some posts will be counted from 26 June 2025 and on 1 August 2025. Candidates of reserved category will also get exemption as per rules.
How much will you get salary?
If you talk about salary, then according to Level-6 posts like JHT, JTO and JT, you will get salary from Rs 35,400 to Rs 1,12,400 per month. At the same time, this salary can be from 44,900 to 1,42,400 rupees on level-7 posts like Senior Translator. That is, it is not only respectable but also a good job.
How will the selection be?
Paper-1: Computer based objective test, which will have questions in General Hindi and English. It also has negative marking of 0.25 marks.
Paper-2: Descriptive test in which translation and essay will come. After this, skill test and document verification will also be done.
What is the application fee?
The application fee for General, OBC and EWS category candidates is Rs 100. While the application for SC, ST, PH and women candidates is free. You can pay fees with net banking, debit or credit card.
