Indian team lands in uk: The Test series of five matches is going to start from June 20 between India and England. For this, Team India has reached London on Saturday. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has posted a video of the team reaching London on its social media account ‘X’.
The BCCI wrote in the caption of the post, “The UK has reached. Team India has reached for the five -match Test series against England.”
In the video posted on the BCCI’s ‘X’ handle, the Indian players are looking quite cool after reaching the UK. The team looks fully ready and excited for a long tour under England circumstances.
Before leaving for England, the new Test captain Shubman Gill spoke on the challenges of playing without veterans like Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli, who retired from Test format last month.

India’s new Test captain Shubman Gill said in a press conference before leaving on Thursday, “I think every time you play a match or start a tour, there is pressure. There is pressure before every series, but there will be no extra pressure here.”
He further said, “Rohit and Virat are very experienced players and it is very difficult to fill them, we have a lot of experience as a team. We have played a lot of matches. The players and the team are all accustomed to pressure. We are not so inexperienced players. The combination of batting and bowling in our team is very good.”
Captain Shubman Gill has not yet decided on which number he will bat. He has also batted at number-3 besides opening in the last tours, but due to Rohit’s absence, the team management will also have to decide that if Gill decides to open, then who will be with him? Yashasvi Jaiswal or Bengal opener Abhimanyu Ishwaran, who has not played any international match yet.
Shubman Gill also recalled the moment when he was first reported to be the captain of the Test team. He said, “When it came to know that I would get such a chance, I was very excited. This experience was quite encouraging. But, I think it is a big responsibility. We have not decided on the batting order yet. We still have some time. We have a spot match in London. So we still have time to decide.”
With this Test series in England, Team India is going to start its new assignment of World Test Championship-2025-27. India aims to win the Test series in England for the first time since 2007.
