In his historical career, Piyush Chawla has achieved great success in domestic cricket. The Ranji Trophy won 2005-06 while being a part of the Uttar Pradesh team, he was part of the Kolkata Knight Riders team to become IPL Champions in 2014. His last cricket match so far came in November 2024, when he took four wickets for just 12 runs in 4 overs, playing against Himachal Pradesh in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy T20 tournament.
