Maharashtra News: The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar faction) has declared its support to be taken out on July 5 in support of Marathi language. Party state president Jayantrao Patil has clarified the role of the party by tweeting a letter.

Jayant Patil wrote in his letter, “When the question of the interest of Maharashtra arises, then we stand with Maharashtra and when it comes to the national interest, then with the nation. At this time, it is a clear policy of ‘Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar)’.

‘Government is adamant on forcibly imposing language’
In the letter, he further wrote, “The Maharashtra government has planned to make Hindi language mandatory from the first grade itself by implementing the triple formula under the National Education Policy 2020 (NEP 2020). In protest, there is intense dissatisfaction among the Marathi speakers in Maharashtra. Many students, foster, academics, linguists etc. have registered various objections from the first class. The government is adamant on forcibly imposing Hindi. ”

‘Hindi language is not opposed’
Jayant Patil further wrote, “In fact, if you understand the public sentiments of Maharashtra, then it is clear that no one has any opposition from learning other languages or Hindi language. But elementary education should be done in the mother tongue itself, this is also a clear demand for the people and our clear demand.

He made it clear that if an attempt is being made to suppress the mother tongue under the guise of the three -language formula of the education policy, then the Marathi public will unite and oppose it. The ruling ruling should take serious notes of this matter.

‘Our party’s full support’
Patil also wrote, “The National Education Policy of the Government of Maharashtra is being taken out by all the Marathi Samaj in Mumbai on Saturday, July 5, 2025, to protest against the imperative of Hindi language being implemented through the Trishag Sutra under the Tri -Language Sutra. This front is fully supported by ‘Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar)’.
